Police Bullets extend perfect start as Gideon Starlets celebrate first-ever WPL victory

Kenya Police Bullets maintained their flawless start to the 2025/26 FKF Women’s Premier League season with a commanding 4–0 win over Bungoma Queens at the Police Sacco Stadium, tightening their grip at the top of the table.

Coming into the match with four wins, the defending champions wasted no time asserting their dominance. Puren Alukwe opened the scoring in the 5th minute after sustained early pressure, before Ugandan winger Margaret Kunihira doubled the lead in the 33rd minute with a superb long-range effort.

Eglay Mukwana struck in the 37th minute to hand Trinity their fourth win of the season.

The visitors defended resolutely in the second half, with Ulinzi pushing for an equaliser but unable to break down Trinity’s compact structure.

The result lifts Trinity to 13 points, strengthening their position among the early title contenders.

Former champions Vihiga Queens dropped vital points after being held to a 0–0 draw by Zetech Sparks at the Mang’u Campus grounds.

Despite enjoying long spells of possession, Vihiga struggled to create clear chances, while Zetech maintained discipline at the back to earn a deserved point—their second draw of the season.

The draw sees Vihiga slip to third place, with Trinity leapfrogging them in the standings.

At the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay, newly promoted Gideon Starlets registered their first-ever FKF Women’s Premier League victory, defeating Kisumu All Starlets 3–0 in the Nyanza region clash.

Gideon, who came into the match bottom of the table without a point, delivered a spirited performance, dominating early and maintaining intensity throughout the match.

The three goals, scored with precision and confidence, lift Gideon out of the relegation zone and hand them a major confidence boost.

Kisumu All Starlets, now at the foot of the table, have only one point from five matches.
